Melody Moore is a San Francisco Opera 2006 Adler Fellow and former Merola Opera Program participant.
She sang Countess Almaviva last summer in Merola Opera Program's
The Marriage
of Figaro.
She graduated recently from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music,
where she performed the roles of Candace Whitcomb in Stephen Paulus's
The Village Singer and recieved the Norman Treigle and Andrew White Awards.
Other performances include Donna Elvira in
Don Giovanni at Lincoln
Thearter in Napa Valley,
Dorabella in
Cosi Fan Tutte and
Amyntas in
Il Re Pastore for Opera Circle of Cleveland and
the title role in
Suor Angelica for the Opera Theatre and
Musical Festival of Lucca, Italy. Last April she covered the role of Countess Almaviva at Los Angeles Opera.
She recently gave a Schwabacher Debut Recital with New York Festival of Song's
Steven Blier.
This summer, she sings with San Francisco Opera,
in the role of Kate Pinkerton in
Madama Butterfly, Countess Almaviva in
The Marriage of Figaro (6/15).
She is scheduled to sing Ida in
Die Fledermaus, in its 2006-07 season.
Upcoming appearances include four performances with San Francisco Bay Area Early Music with Axel Strauss in January, 2007.
