PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE: We had a fantastic Book-Fair in November. Bookshop West Portal presented a magnificent collection of books that are available this holiday season at their store in West Portal. It was a great opportunity to hear a brief book review of the books and get a sense of what might be a good read. Books were available to purchase at a discount, a great way to find gifts for the holidays. Our thanks to Bookshop West Portal, their presentations are informative and great fun. Thank you to Teresa Callan who arranged for the book show, worked on setting up books, and taking down the event. Thank you to Eva Monroe and Yen Bachmeier for your fundraising efforts. San Francisco-Marin Food Bank donation drive was very successful this year. We raised $2,035.00 in actual donations and with the match our donation total was $4,070.00 this year! Thank you also to Mike Monroe, and Claudia Belshaw for doing heavy lifting of chairs and tables. Thank you to Eva Monroe, Nancy Hagosian, and Anna Bolechowski for setting the tables with linens and nice arrangements. Thank you to our marvelous team of bakers: Ingeborg McGlynn, Marcia Elias, Julia Stroud, Jane Gersick, and Ann Rieger Matthews. Our meeting ended with a lovely afternoon tea!
