Forest Hill Garden Club
PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE: I am pleased to report that the Garden Club’s February program “The Cult of Beauty” was a huge success. We had a big turnout with over sixty members and guests in attendance. FAMSF docent Peggy Gordon took us through a magical tour of the stunningly beautiful Bristish Aesthetic Movement showcases. There couldn’t have been a more perfect pairing for this culturally rich program than the fabulous English afternoon tea that followed – a Garden Club annual tradition. The event was meticulously planned and expertly executed. Bravi to Eva Monroe and her co-chair Kathleen Anderson. They pulled together an A team, who made it all possible: Nancy Hagosian and Anna Bolechowski for the lovely blue and white flower/china arrangements; Sally Kipper’s elbow grease for the gleaming silver tea and coffee service; Dottie McHugh for the elegant table linen; and an incredible ensemble of tea pourers, bakers and tea sandwich wizzards Clorinda Aldrich, Kathleen Anderson, Yen Bachmeier, Louise Bacigalupi, Katie Balestreri, Donna Earhart, Kathe Farrell, Mary Hanson, Dalene Hartman, Dottie McHugh, Sally Kipper, Amy Quirk, Sima Talai, Helen Scholten and Pansy Waller. Thank you all! --Yen Bachmeier
