PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE:
Happy Spring! I am exceedingly pleased to report that the St. Patrick’s Day dinner party was a smashing success! We had a big turnout with nearly seventy members and guests in attendance. We enjoyed a traditional Irish dinner, enhanced with Irish whiskey and live accordion music from All Things Accordion.
Credit goes to
Dottie McHugh and her team including
Kathleen Anderson,
Page Fenston,
Darlene Hartman and
Sima Talai, who created a festive environment for the evening. Special thanks to
Dan McHugh for gamely pitching in to lend muscle power to the project. Thank you all!
Our March program
Green School Gardens was wonderful and informative. We didn’t know that every school in the city can have a garden if they chose to. We took a walk over to the West Portal Elementary School to experience first hand the lovely gardens created by the young students here. Many thanks to
Sally Kipper for organizing this event and provided the nourishing refreshments. Thanks to
Darlene Hartman, our horticulture chair, for sharing her beautiful succulents and her thoughts on how to grow a succulent garden. Flowers credit goes to
Nancy Hagosian and
Anna Bolechowski.

Trish Hurt), and a fifth member selected by those four (
Anna Bolechowski). Their recommendations are:
