UPCOMING EVENTS:
-September Program: " Bay Area Beauty: The Artistry of Harold Stoner " presented by author Jacquie Proctor.
Come hear the surprising story of this artistic Englishman -- one of San Francisco’s most prolific – yet unknown architects. If your home was built in the 1920s or 30s, it may have been designed by the same man who created the Art Deco entrance to the Sutro Baths, the medieval hilltop mansion for Adolph G. Sutro, or even Sally Rand’s Nude Ranch at the Golden Gate International Exposition in 1939. Harold Stoner designed dozens of homes in and around Forest Hill, along with others you will recognize in West Portal, St. Francis Wood, Balboa Terrace, Monterey Heights, and Lakeside. Jacquie will read excerpts from a rare 1923 article celebrating Forest Hill and present some of the nearly 400 images featured in her book – including the interiors of two Forest Hill homes toured by tens of thousands in the 1920s.
-October Program: "Musee d' Orsay Post Impressionist Masterpieces"

"Once they return to the Orsay, they will never again be loaned out for exhibition as a group" according to French President Nicolas Sarkozy. Don't miss this exciting program in our clubhouse.
