PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE: What a party! Oktoberfest was a great success. More than fifty guests attended. Great food and wine, great time, great friends. Many thanks to Anna Bolechowski, her husband Michael and other helpers Anna Cristoforo, Nancy Hagosian, Dottie McHugh, Yen Bachmeier to name a few. Don’t miss this year Bookfest on November 16th and remember to bring your non-perishables for our Food Bank drive. The Forest Hill Garden Club Holiday Dinner Dance is a long-time tradition of the club, almost always on the first Monday night of December. The theme is a 1940s Christmas. To put yourself in the mood, think of the holiday movies of the era: It’s a Wonderful Life, You Can’t Take It with You, Miracle on 34th Street, the Bishop’s Wife, etc. For entertainment, we have the talented pianist, composer, and singer, Candace Forest, who will take us back to the 1940s with dance tunes, holiday music, and possibly some sing-along holiday tunes. Please come join us for mulled apple cider, desert, tea and coffee while designing your wreath or help us design greens for our holiday party. Donations of greens should be left in front of the Clubhouse before 10:00 AM that morning.
