PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE:

The October 13th Italian Trattoria Dinner was a great culinary event. Over seventy members and their guests enjoyed a home cooked Italian meal. Our chairmen, Helen Scholten and Louise Bacigalupi helped make our Trattoria run like a true family-style restaurant. Many thanks to Donna Earhart who cooked the wine-braised pork entrée, Louise Bacigalupi who cooked the polenta and made the brushetta, and John Balestreri for the perfect eggplant casserole!

Our restaurant looked festive with red and white checked cloths with fresh vegetables and herbs centerpieces done in advance by our committee Anna Bolechowski, Helen Scholten, Louise Bacialupi, Maria-Elena Hanley, Sally Kipper , and Trish Hurt!

Guests arrived to the great sounds of Opera great tenor Luciano Pavarotti. It served as a reminder to all of us that good food and great music go together. Thank you each and everyone for making our event ring with so much conversation and laughter that it ranked a 5 with noise level!!

Don’t forget our annual Wreath Making Day at 9:30am, December 5th, with Anne Rieger-Matthews and many of our neighbors. Come make your wreath or holiday decorations that will lend a festive feel to our neighborhood. We also need helping hands to put some decorations together for our December 8th holiday formal! See details in the December Newsletter!
