PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE:

Summer is almost over and your Garden Club has prepared a year of hands-on gardening, contemporary cultural activities, informal luncheons, and cozy dinners for all to enjoy this year.

Come and share your summer adventures with the Club at our traditional chicken salad luncheon, September 15th.Guests are always welcome!

Our October dinner will take you to the clubhouse trattoria—a place where there is no printed menu, the service is casual, the food modest, but good, and everything is served family style.

Plan on joining us in November, for instance, when we can all catch up on what is hot in the book publishing trade.

• Dues:
Annual dues for the 2008-2009 year are $40. Please send your check, made to FHGC to Carol DeLucchi, Financial Secretary at 401 Castenada Avenue, San Francisco, 94116

• Upcoming Events:
Forest Hill Association Annual Picnic, Sunday, September 21, 2008. More information will be sent by the FHA. The Garden Club will have an information table at the picnic.

• Italian Trattoria Dinner
at the Clubhouse, Monday, October 13, 2008. Wine will be provided with dinner. There will be a no-host bar during the social hour before dinner. Free to 2008-2009 dues paying FHGC members. Spouses, and guests will pay $15 per person. We need volunteers for setup and cleanup. Details to follow in October Bulletin. Chairs: Darlene Hartman (731-4885) and Helen Scholten (566-0980).
