PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE:
As exotic Persian Music wafted through the Clubhouse, future male and female Belly Dancers got up to dance, and gyrate to the enticing sounds. It only took a little encouragement and short improvised lessons from Sima and Mike Talai to get them there. Compliments should be given to Sima and committee for creating an evening of fun, food, dance, and music.
The De Young’s Bouquets to Art would have showcased the stunning floral arrangements designed by the FHGC Flowers & Decorations committee, lead by Nancy Hagosian, with Anna Cristoforo, Cheryl Seckols and Anna Bolechowski , which set the atmosphere for our annual April Tea. The musical program by Candace Forest was very charming, well orchestrated, and fun, especially Candace’s own lyrics for her song “In a California Garden”.
A standing ovation should be given to Katie Balestreri, for co-coordinating the program and Carol DeLucchi for putting together the High Tea Table. Many thanks to the many ladies who provided the sweets and savory’s for this event: Clorinda Aldrich, Katie Balestreri, Ellie Barry, Carol DeLucchi, Donna Earhart, Kathe Farrell, Darlene Hartman, Sally Kipper, Dottie McHugh, and Helen Scholten.
