PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE: We celebrated the arrival of Autumn with a great cultural program. Thanks to Eva Monroe for organizing the event. We were treated to a delightful and informative lecture on Musée d'Orsay Post Impressionist Masterpieces presented by Kate Sculti, a docent from the FAMSF. Thanks to Toni Buckley for handling the greeting and reception, and to Julie Lustig, Anna Cristoforo, Marica Salma, Donna Earhart and Eva Monroe for sharing their delicious homemade pies. Our clubhouse looked like one of the masterpieces, thanks to Nancy Hagosian and Anna Cristoforo from the flower committee. We are grateful to Sally Kipper, Lonnie Wong and Mike Monroe for their help in setup and cleanup. DON’T MISS OUR ANNUAL BOOKFEST! It’s Monday the 15th. Come browse the new books and hear a presentation by Neil Sofman. Start your holiday shopping early! Books are great for gift giving as well as your personal reading pleasure. The November meeting is also our Fall Community Service event. Toni Buckley and Eleanor Barry will again be collecting nonperishable food for the Food Bank to benefit the needy of San Francisco. FOOD DRIVE: Please bring your nonperishable foods only, please. We suggest: canned fruits, vegetables, meats, fish, soup and juices; dry cereal; pasta , bean and rice; cake mixes and other dry mixes. UPCOMING EVENTS: - December 3: Wreath Making Day. Bring gloves and tools for cutting. - December 5: Deck-The-Halls - Setup for annual holiday party and Christmas tree decoration. Contact Nancy Hagosian 722-3250 or Anna Bolechowski 661-9820 to help decorate. Hot lunch provided by president. - December 6: White Christmas Dinner Dance. See last month's flyer for details. Dance the night away with the Tony Macaroni Band, featuring music by Irving Berlin and selections from the American song book designed for dancing. Free flowing champagne, wine and cocktail bar featuring manhattans and martinis. Our sumptuous dinner will be provided by Skyler St. John catering.
